Anyone feeling guilty for not coming out last weekend has a chance to redeem themselves on Saturday.
Washington Area Trail Riders will have a crew working on the trails and have invited us to join them. They are meeting at 9:00am in the Edinburg Gap Rd parking lot at the Tasker's Gap trailhead. They plan to hit the trails with work assignments at 9:30am.
There is no brushing or blazes needed on our trail, but there are a couple of broken signs that have to be replaced, and clearing of an overgrown access trail for rescue services that remains to be done. Wade Bushong is the Forest Technician who will be working with the crew this weekend. He will do the chainsaw work if they have the manpower show-up to tackle clearing that overgrown trail.
They will have lunch to share in the parking lot at Noon.
Mobile phone service is non-existent on most of the trail and at the trailheads, but they usually have a coordinator who stays in the parking lot.
