I'm looking to get my first bike, and in researching I found that bikes like the Honda CB500f and Kawa Ninjas are made in Taiwan.

I had assumed they'd be Japan made. Is this a problem? What does mud say about Taiwan bikes vs Japan bikes?

Edit: where are the NC700x and Versys made?

I have a SYM 180cc scooter made by San Yang Motors and I also ride one where possible when I visit Vietnam. Both are made in Taiwan and both are utterly reliable.
Japanese companies like Honda put a lot of their QA/QC expertise into Taiwanese companies to produce cars and motorcycles.
I also buy Taiwanese hand tools if I see them at the right price ,their steel quality is quite high.
I have complete faith in all things made in Taiwan.
A lot of Japanese companies use Thailand as their main plants for making their mid range vehicles.
