MAD wrenchin' action at The 3X's!!

Been enjoyin' the priceless weather by jackin' up the Kawasaki Thangy.

So the first step in jackin' up the Kawasaki Thangy is to ...

jack up the Kawasaki Thangy.

Once safely secured on jack stands ... proceed to yank the tires off.

(Nice shots of the new racin' exhaust too. )

Now ... startin' at the passenger side front ...

remove shock ...

Install the sexy new red powdercoated parts and pieces ...

and reinstall shock.

Repeat for driver's side.

Repeat procedure on the ass end ... here's a shot of the completed driver's side.

The lift is generated by changin' the shock location to a more upright position ... brilliant in it's simplicity.

Now ya gotta ease on into town so the the experts at Baker Tire can take the old tires off the rims and then put the new tires back on the rims.

Reckon this was a lil' overkill just for totin' tires to town??

Actu'ly it weren't though since I toted the Cruiser to town too so Butch can try to fix 'er up again.

Mount the tires back on the rig and let 'er back down to the ground.

Then pull 'er out into the sunshine for a poser shot.

2" lift kit and went from 26" Swampers to 30" Swampers.

Measured ride height increased by 3 1/2" with 6 lbs. in the tires.

Lift kit is very well designed and the installation instructions were some of the best I've ever seen.

What size are the old tires ...

Old rear tires are 26 x 10 ... old front tires are 26 x 8 ... both were mounted on the 12 x 7 rims that I'm still usin'. They're Swamp Lites with 'bout 500 miles on 'em. Very lil' pavement though so there still in good shape.

... and what did you do with them?

They're still layin' on the Executive Transporter sittin' under the big-ass carport at The 3X's ... unless my neighbor done stole 'em ... he had his eyes on 'em.
