Looks like I might be picking up a M716 (similar to a M416 but has a flat bed instead of a tub) shortly...stay tuned.

It needs some work but will be a good foundation to build an expedition trailer.

sweet.... let the fun begin.... I am starting to strip mine now. gonna go with Al's liner black on inside and OD Green on outside with a custom top and a lock and roll hitch...

The one I'm hoping to pick up has a wood tub - so I'll need to fab up something in metal. I'll strip it down to the frame, sandblast, reassemble and probably rebuild the rear axle, spring over, then worry about the tub. It will be a good fall project. My Pig will keep me busy well into the summer.

Check the trailer section there was a guy that had a new tub made and i think he posted up drawings so any metal shop could cut and bend the pieces for you then its just some assembly and your done....

the 716 looks good. be easy to make your own tub for that. one ? though. it looks wider than the 416. is it going to be wider than your tow vehicle?
may make taking it into some camping spots interesting....
