m416 worth $500

found a local m416 for $500. it's in pretty good shape except it's been sitting with a battery in it, so one of the front corners is rusted out and will have to be patched. tires are new, lights are there, brake is a little stiff, but all there. what do you guys think?

500 seems to be about the average price for an average trailer. If it is rotted, i would low ball him, and start from there. BUT, if you really really want one of these, they are getting a few and far between.

Steel is easy to patch.

it's not rusty all over. just where the battery was sitting. and i'm able to patch it. it's local, so that's kind of a perk too.

it's in tunica, ms in my shop right now. it's not advertised-it's a friend of mine that has had sitting in his yard for years and i approached him. if your in need right now, i know memphis equipment has some in good shape for $900, i believe.

actually, they're $850. i went and looked at them and they're in better shape than this one, but not pristine by any means. surface rust in the bed which could be worse than it appears. three in all, and one is dented pretty good in one corner and he said he would sell it for $600.
