Nice.

I like how you beveled the bottom of the tailgate to provide support for the sides, without having to use outside supports like the civilian trailers.

Clever use of Pelican cases.

Did you extend the lunette? Hard to make it out in the pic.

You may find the tailgate to be on the low side for cooking on. It hurts my back to bend over like that for sustained periods.

Brian, yes the lunette was made about 14"longer. So, it's about 28" long now.

Factory 5 Racing? I'm going to buy one of their coupe kits when I graduate.

I'm really curious to see how easy it is to lift the tent solo.

I'm liking your idea, may have to steal it, maybe slap a couple covers on drawer slides that you can access the tub with the tent lowered and I'd be set.

PhotoGod and I were thinking about something similar, great execution. Thule makes a great product, I worked for them years ago.

Ps- more pics, more pics, show the tent installed!!!!

Please feel free to steal the idea...I'm flattered! I too, am curious as to how the tent will be raised. Honestly, the tent which should arrive in November and it will weigh 130 lbs. Theoretically, it will be a 2 man job. Once attached on the crossbars, I should be able to get under it using my legs...and raise it. While someone else secures the Thule crossbar latches to hold it in place. I guess I'll find out next month..
