Thinking of trading my 2017 LC for an LX. Can anyone comment on the biggest differences between the pre and post 2015 models? Other than the monster grill, are there other major differences in the mechanics or usability of the post 2015 models? Also, any thoughts on the best LX570 model years 2011 - present? Many thanks!

2015!

Is there something wrong with your 2017 LC?? Are you looking for more luxury inside?

That's what I'm thinking. Anything the 2015 doesn't have that's available in later models that you wish you had?

Biggest driver for me is the hydraulic suspension. I want to throw big fat highway tires on it and glide over the Earth.

I see a few noobies in here, so It might be a good time to show off the truly amazing capability of the [stock + sensor lift] AHC system 😁
Here's 35's in low mode and urban flexing in Hi.

I don't know what year the LX got Blind Spot Monitoring but that is the only feature I wish my 2011 had. The main reason being my other car has it and sadly I have gotten used to the additional verification from the vehicle. I am very happy with AHC, the ride quality, and the low noise of the LX. Straight trade up for my 2011, I'd even be willing to drive to you?

Let's see it

I drive like a grandma, only to and from the mall, all highway miles, and always serviced at the Lexus dealership ;)

Maybe get Cadillac Escalade instead?

LOL, Clearly Noodleman has better taste and higher standards than that. LC/LX are built to last while an Escalade is built for a short lease.

Depending on what you consider usability, there are new features that got introduced on the 2016 LX that you may or may not deem necessary. Download the 2016 LX570 brochure from the Lexus site to see what some of them are. I haven’t studied and validated the following and perhaps someone can add or correct me.

RCTA - radar warns of traffic that can ruin your day when you back out of a parking slot or driveway
BSM - lets you know about vehicles entering (or already in) your blind spot
“All speed” Active Cruise Control - radar assisted cruise control but at any speed (not just a speed greater than some x mph). I hear that some folks use this in stop and go traffic. I don’t.
Advanced Mulit-View Technologies - includes Panoramic view (my favorite)
Pedestrian Detection - part of the Pre Collision system

Of course, YMMV. Hope you find a great deal on whatever you choose.
