I lost Brakes in July of 2024 so I replaced the hydraulic brake booster motor with an aftermarket 12v motor from amazon for about $70. Since then I have driven to New York and back about 3,500 miles and have experienced no further problems. However supposedly there is a Lovejoy that is supposed to go between the electric motor and the hydraulic pump and it wasn't there when I took the original apart and it is not in there now cuz I put it back together without a Lovejoy. I don't even see how one would fit in there. the steel shaft from the electric motor has a notch in it and it mates with a notch in the shaft of the hydraulic pump and seems to be working fine. If there is supposed to be a love joy in there and I need to buy one for 70 to $130 which is absolutely crazy I'm not sure that it actually would fit anywhere. Do I need one? Does anyone have photos with where the love joy would be installed? Thank you
I now carry a spare motor just in case🤣

Brakes aren’t that important, the vehicle in front can slow you down, and maybe be cheaper?

I’m sure that the Toyota engineers put extraneous parts, just to inflate the price.

Sarcasm included for free…

I took it apart awhile back.... it looks like the Lovejoy/coupling goes between commutator and the pump.
