This past weekend, the Bayou State Land Cruiser Association set up a booth and participated in the Louisiana 4x4 Expo that helps raise money for the Hammond, LA area non-profit that serves people with disabilities. In just it's third year, it is becoming something of a great event for the state and the 4x4 owning community there.
Community Motors (Jeep Dealership) hosted the event and an offroad course was set up for all comers to test their skills and rigs on. That course was set up by the vendors and club booths.
The Land Cruisers handled the course very well and many in the Jeep heavy crowd really liked what they saw in our rigs and the driving abilities of our members. Sunday was the trail ride part of the expo and two tracts, Cole's Creek and Paradise were hit with morning and afternoon runs. Again, the Cruisers did AWESOME and we made a great first showing as a whole group.
We are hoping to get more involved with this great event next year and will let MUD members know well in advance if anyone in the Southeast would like to join us for a great weekend of fun.
