Don't want to take away from Randy's thunder about posting a Lookout trail report but I heard of a rollover that happened yesterday and it's on youtube and thought you all might enjoy watching it, especially those of you that went up the middle hill. You will recognize the spot, it's the middle steep hill that Ross first went up that was on the right, the one several peeps played on. This poor bastard rolled from the top to the bottom.:bang: Also, he called it Texas Canyon which is wrong but a lot of people make that mistake.

Ouch! That's scary. He went backwards which is kind of what I'm concerned my 60 would do. Last time I went to the trail cleanup I had problems getting into 4lo.

When I tried going up the first hill, my engine's rpms went WAY down and almost shut off and I lost vacuum to the brakes. Not fun.

That is scary considering that was the same hill we climbed today. Was it ever mentioned what happened?

Wow I knew that hill was steep but I never had a fear of a roll over or I wouldn’t of climb it.

I am still curious as to what caused the blazer to roll backwards in the first place - he was already at the top.

From the sound off the video the blazer stalled the motor out? When listening to the start of the video you can hear a motor trying to turn over.

That is a horrible predicament to find oneself in. That was always my concern with my carburated 40 series, and almost did have an issue stalling my first trip to Rowher, when going downhill.

strangely enough Me and a buddy stalled his 40 the the top of the hill on the next trail over from the one in the video. he hit the clutch by mistake and we coasted all the way down going backwards :eek:
we where on two wheels for about 30'

So with carbureted vehicles....is there any way to prevent this????(And getting a V8 Swap is out of the question right now! :) )

It was not a carb problem for us and a f or 2f are much better off road then a v8 :grinpimp:

V8's = :princess:
