My BFG ATs are getting really old ... They are 30x9.50-15 load C with a tread width of 7.75". They are great, but I would prefer a little less width to decreases the rolling resistance. I need a 3500 pound combined load rating (per axle) for an occasional short trip to the garden supply, but most of the time the trailer will be at around 800 pounds total weight. I'm looking for skinny width and tough as nails.

Found these STA Super Traxions. Does anyone have any experience with them? They have a section width of 8 inches and they don't specify the tread width.

Any other choices, or just get another set of BFGs? I really don't want to go taller or a whole lot more expensive. I won't go to a tube type, so that rules out the Old School tires.

Sorry for the delayed response. I wouldn't hear it behind my Ram Cummins...... But I dislike tires that howl.

Plus I do like that my BFGs are half way decent on icy or snowy surfaces. I doubt that even a siped one of these skinny tires would do as well. I'm leaning toward a fresh set of the BFGs, which are ubiquitous and easy to replace.

I used old school coker firestone military repops from summit racing part#cok-587117 with 15x6 6-5 1/2 smthie part#wvi-12-5606358 the rims were the hard part no tube was required.
