Last night the thought occurred to me so see if I can find the buyer of my first FJ40. Maybe I can shed some history on it as well as get an update on where it is. I sold a 1978 red rusty FJ40 in the Spring of 1995. I blew the engine 70 miles outside of SLC while driving 2000 miles from Louisville KY. I was going to USU in Logan at the time. I ended up having it checked out by the local cruiser shop near a bridge who said the engine was blown. I cant recall the name of it, maybe the fellas name was james? The repair was going to be $5000, way more than a college kid could afford, so I decided to sell it. My step-mother had some friends who owned a Greek restaurant on State St which is where I parked it for 3 weeks until it sold. I met the buuyer there and he paid me $750 for it.

Does this story sound familiar to anyone?
