land of enchantment, at least for now
I've been chasing an intermittent cold weather issue with my 2000 LX for way too long now. I would like to check the terminals associated with the Throttle Position Sensor and the Throttle Lever Assembly aka Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor but I don't know how to get them apart. Pics are posted below; I'm hoping someone is familiar with these connectors and/or has an EWD that explains how they come apart. Both of them have a white piece within the gray or black connector, so I assume somehow those parts need to be picked. The top image (2x2) connector is at the pigtail to the TPS, not at the TPS itself. The second image is at the Throttle Lever Assembly. Third image shows where on the throttle body they are connected. Thanks for any help!

Did you replace the TPS?

I replaced the throttle body with new oem and that included TPS and TPPS. Interestingly, as I was poking around, I discovered one of the TPS connectors wasn’t fully clicked in place. Since then I have never had the problem. I left it at a friend’s house so he could test it out at near zero temps for a week. I picked it up in -5° and I had no issue and haven’t since. I do still find it hard to believe that something so simple created the exact same problem I had before replacing the TB.
