Hello,

I'm looking for a landcruiser that is not completely rotted out and is reliable. I am not looking for a project truck, more so one I can get and go with. I don't really have a specific year in mind, but, I have a 4500 spending cap. I am located in Virginia a few minutes outside of DC. I don't mind traveling for the right truck/price, so if you are a few hours drive from me thats fine, just don't waste my time with something that is rotting apart, please.

I do have a 1986 Trooper II with no rust for sale currently. I'd be interested in a trade if you are. Trooper is in running condition, body is basically flawless, interior very clean. Here is the craigslist ad.

Nice trooper! What kind of cruiser do you want? 40, 55, 60, 62, 80, etc. good luck!

Thanks, I hate to leave it but I really want an landcruiser of some sort. I test drove a FJ60 the other day and liked everything about it except it was a 4 speed and topped out around 70 it seemed. My trooper will do 75+ on an open road with no problem, but, I feel I'd get run off the highway in DC with this thing. I haven't done my research yet on everything and I know completely about the search button...haven't had time to use it much lately but are the 80's FJ's limited to that? I'm a beginner with these and excited to transition.

What is your price range and what are you really looking for here body style wise.

My FJ60 seemed to cruise well at 75 or 80. It didn't have a ton of power so it took a little while to get there, but was stable and smooth.

There's a big jump in road manners if you go with an 80.

I have a 1995 FJ80 located near Roanoke, VA. No lockers, green, clean biege cloth interior, sunroof, roof rack, third row, 188K miles.
