Hi everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for a reliable mechanic in the mentioned area. I've worked in Mooresville for the last 4 years but have been traveling down from Upstate NY every couple of weeks. Now, my wife and I are finally making the move down to the area this October, and I'll be on the hunt for a new mechanic who has experience/knowledge on 100+ series. I have a 2006 GX and would love a good recommendation.

I saw someone mentioned J&M when I searched around the forum a bit, but they're in Fort Mills which is roughly an hour from where I'll be. Not a bad trip down, but would love to know if anyone is closer. Thanks!!

We don't allow anyone else from albany, we're full. :p I moved down from schenectady in 2011, welcome.

That being said, use the search tool. This question has been asked many times, recently too.

I have always used J&J towing and auto repair In Statesville for all of my now and previous vehicles. Worked on my ‘82 40 motor back in the day. Scott may still run the place or his son Michael.
I know a lot of shop depend on the mechanic at the time,

Hah! Funny enough, most of my coworkers have said "you're the only person we want to move down from NY... but nobody else!" I get it though. They don't want the place turning into Florida. 😂😂

Bring me some wegmans marinade and I will answer your questions

We can probably bring that to you from Raleigh if in a pinch - I have many questions to ask you, too! :)

I live next to Fort Mill and agree that Johnny and Mark at J&M are good. Given you'll be in Mooresville, my vote would be Dean and his crew at H& H Automotive. I've had good experiences with them. They somewhat recently relocated from South Blvd. in SouthEnd to Wilkinson Blvd.

As long as it doesn’t intrude with my WITPRO status, I can answer anything!

Thanks so much!

Dale at Autoworks Unlimited in Huntersville off of 115 is a Toyota master tech. Not too far from Mooresville. I have taken my LC100 over there.
