Hey guys looking for a 4 runner for Travis as a daily driver. Slighty modified would be nice but beggers can't be choosers 5kish would be his max. No big hurry but if the right deal comes along were ready to buy.

Thanks

Ok update we have narrowed it down t a first or second gen in the $5000 range but i need ot know what years had the troubled engines. Or is that not a problem????

Hi Tom, The only engine you really should avoid is the 3.0 V-6, They had a bad habit of blowing head gaskets. If you want a 6 cyl get a second gen and look for one with the 3.4. One other piece of advice I have for you is if you want a stock/Daily driver rig look on craigslist in the SF Bay section. There are still a lot of first owner older runners in there and the owners there tended to have the money to keep them well maintained with dealer maintenance. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Mission accomplised

87 runner " the stealth" 22RE, 5 speed, Total Chaos front suspension and lift, Chevy full size rear leafs, Bilstiens up front, rancho 9000's in rear and engine rebuilt 80k ago "allegidly". Marlin rear bumper and fiberglass hood and baja fenders. It sounds like it needs a valve adjustment/job or something but it runs strong and passed smog with very high marks. Travis is really excited!

Whoooo who ! Now let's go wheel calico in April

He should cut out the rear fenders and slap on some 37's or 38's with all the front clearance he has. As James said, can't wait to see it wheel calico!
