Well,

My wife an I are finally in the look for a 100 series to add the the 40 & 80. We can't spend 50K so looking for a 2000+ model.

OPTIONS: Were there options that I should be looking for? Do they all now have factory lockers or is that a thing of the past? Others?

COLORS: What colors were available in those earlly 2000 years?

TIA,
Eric

The newer the better. Just buy the newest, lowest mileage you can afford. :)

PS- have it checked over and know its background, carfax, etc. If you need to know features just do a search they have been discussed many many many times. Good luck!!

rear locker, 98-99, 2000+ no locker but traction controll.

options, really none, most will have rear AC and 3rd row seats. All will be leather

white, black, mica green, a real ugly brown/copper(they call it something fancy) river rock(me like) and a dark burgundy(sharp)

I have seen the dark burgandy. That is our choice, I was hoping it was in the year range we were looking in.
Thanks!

preety sure it was a 2000 color. that was my 1st choice also.....but I couldn't find one for sale......any year. Only seen a handfull on the road(and there are a buttload of 100's in town) The original owner of our 90 fj62 replaced it with a dark burgundy 100.

I'll check my 2000-ish brouchures.

Oh......another color is the champaign-ish color. There is a silver also but not sure what year, no 2000 I don't think

Hi, guys for those of you that have delt with lockers v/s traction control. which is the better option to the new buyer i bring this up since i read "The newer the better. Just buy the newest..." knowing that 98 and 99 have lockers as options then should i figure that all 2000+ come with traction control?

for a new buyer/new Cruiser owner/new to 4x4's I would say Traction Controll as it needs no driver input. Correct 2000+ all have TC and some stabilitly dealy as standard....

I had TC on my 4-runner and I hated it. Go with the rear lockers.I have a 99 LC and love it. Just my 2 cents!

I would go with the lockers. If I had to do it again I would buy a 99, because of the rear air and one with a rear locker.

99's rock.
But I would second the recommendation that you simply buy the newest you can find and afford -- frankly TC is probably more useful to most people than the rear locker.

Landpimp,

Do you mean the Bronze (you said brown/copper) color in 1999? Or would this be different since it was a lexus color...?
