Hey guys, I am trying to pick a locker for my 88 toyota pick up. Its got a v6 rear axle so an aussie locker is out I am trying to decide between a lockright ($299) or a detroit ($495)...what do you guys think? anyone have any other suggestions? This truck is a DD so spool is out too..thanks!

I run a spool, although not my daily driver, I do drive on the road. The spool is predictable (unlike detroit) driven in rain and snow with NO problems. Tire wear is the only issue.

Ok,, I run a spool on the Ford and DO drive it on the street, spools are cheap, strong, and predictable (unlike Detroits). I have drive in the rain, snow etc. with no problems.

According to Australia manufacturing the first V6 (or 8" 4 pinion) Aussie Lockers will be on a flight scheduled to leave Australia on 10 December. Once we get them here we have to do a static install for the manual and then we will open the web site.

Horray!!!!!!!! What took you guys so long. I've been waiting for a V6 aussie. I loved the one in my 40 and was crushed when I couldn't get one for the 4runner. You couldn't have mentioned it on your site? I switched to 4cyl diffs just so I could get some.

We have not mentioned it anywhere but here and only now because the shipment has been booked on a flight on that date. That gives us a pretty high confidence that the model will be on the flight and we will soon have them in stock. Until we get them in our hands and the manual prepared we will not be taking orders.

We are still waiting for the V6 Aussie Locker to ship from Australia. Last word from the factory was that they would be in a major shipment in three weeks. We just cross the days off the calendar and hope that they will be here.
