I just got a call from an 80 owner I met. His locked 94 just blew a hg and he wants to sell it as is. It was in decent shape iirc. I have his number if someone is interested.

Not my truck so it might be worth a call to get a price. I am just passing along some info. His name Nikko and his # is 261-9345.

:hhmm: i could use the lockers :)

Thanks

I'll throw this out: If the blown 94 is in decent shape otherwise, I might be very interested in taking it as a partial trade for my locked-95 that has all the maintenance done, lift, sliders, newer AT tires. It would be a perfect candidate for my other HZ engine. On that same note, I could also be interested in selling the motor out of my 95 (It's a 94 engine with 180,000+- on it), runs great. Or trade my stock 92 80 straight across. And yes, someone could keep the FF axles, I've got access to another set. Bob

Hey Bob, Im interested. Yes, I just would like the locked axles and harness to retrofit into my 94. Obviously I would pulling my F/R unlocked axles, so they would be avail or something.

EDIT: Left a msg on his VM.

Nice guy. The truck is currently in Silverton. He is headed up there this weekend and might flatbed it back down to Ashland.

He was hoping to get $4500, but knows that is high. He needs to get into another vehicle and would like the cruiser to goto a cruiserhead and willing to work just about anything out. The previous owner had all the maintenance done at the dealer.

He is avail at the number above.

Why not buy it, fix the HG (assuming he didn't destroy it by driving it after he blew), swap your lift/sliders/etc onto the locked rig, and sell your unlocked rig to finance it all?

Alternatively swap the locked axles with your unlocked ones, fix the HG, then sell it.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

Either way I wouldn't pay $4,500 for it unless it's in pristine shape. If you fixed the HG and it's in excellent shape KBB lists the value at $6k-$7k. IMHO you'd need to pick it up for about $3,000 for it to pay for itself, if you plan on selling it.

The axles alone however are worth $2k-$3k.

1) house poor at the moment, dont have that much to spend to buy outright.
2) I still owe $5.5k on mine :bang:

Don't end up buried in debt, get it paid off, then have fun.. Interest sucks!

You picked a good time to buy a house. I've talked to folks that owe way more than they could sell for.. Crazy times..

Ya, no doubt. We are very pleased with our new home. Got a pretty good deal on it and are financially comfortable with it. Just not a time to try and finance other projects.
