that is a pretty good idea!:hmm:
Might do that for the wrap around supports if the bed liner refuses to hold up.

Thanks for the tip.

The problem that Im running into is affixing the rubber to the steel on vertical surfaces. Nothing wants to stick. EspressoDan gave me some epoxy that was promising, but still pretty much failed after a night of curing....might have just been operator error though. Might not have spread it or mixed it well enough.

the 3m yellow snot adhesive works great or i have some 3m weather strip spray works pretty good to

Yeah...tried the 3M stuff I got from the rubber joint...that was EPIC FAILURE! Id almost have to do a couple of rivets or couter sunk screws...just something to hold it in place in addition to the epoxy/ adhesives.

Im pretty much a pro with 1300L its all about the application.

Post up if still having a problem

You might want to try again when the temps get above 0

Most adhesives need to cure at temps above 50.

Kinda what I figured with the 3M stuff...2nd app, I brought the pieces inside over night thinking that same thing, and the following day it still pulled apart with minimal effort. I even scored the steel AND the rubber baking to promote deeper adhesion. Waste of almost 20 bucks.
The epoxy that Espresso gave me was MARKEDLY BETTER. That I do think was MY ERROR more than anything. The plunger deal didnt really administer a consistent dosing of the mix.
I need to replace HIS epoxy that he was kind enough to give me. While Im there Ill probably pick up a few more tubes and give it another go.

Which is the 1300L?

Im A$$uming that is what they sold you the yellow snot stuff. I would use it like ::

Clean both surfaces, squeeze snot stuff in mixing container thin with acetone or MEK, mix apply in THIN coats to both surfaces, let dry between coats (2-3) , Activate with one last coat or MEK/Acetone , Apply.
