Liner Xtreeme Prep

I am halfway through helping one of my friends sand down the complete interior of his 88 4runner as we are going to spray it with Liner Xtreeme. My question is how much do we need to sand? We have all the black paint off (vehicle is black) and the only thing that is showing is bare metal and some of the primer. Do we need to sand all of the primer off as well?

I know this post is old, but was Wondering if you ever did the liner extreeme spray on kit? I am thinking of painting my whole fj60 with this same product. Wondering how the application and durability was? also any insight or anything you would reccomend?
