I'm going to make another attempt at running liberty on Friday July 19 now that I hear most of the trails have been cleared.

If anyone is able to get off work you're more than welcome to join us!

My brother and I are planning on just making a day trip, returning home in the evening. However there's plenty of camping in the area, should you be so inclined.

Going to have to delay the trip.

Developed a nasty whine coming from the transfer case and I'm going to have to dive into it, likely not going to be ready for the trail before then.

Let me know how that goes. I'm almost certain that's where my whirring noise is coming from also. I've been too lazy to dive into it. Good luck!

Yeah, it's only when I'm in the throttle while cruising at higher speeds. As soon as I get off the throttle and release the load it quiets down, I can rev the engine in neutral without the sound so I'm pretty certain it's not exhaust related.

Sounds like an air raid siren on the freeway lol. Not good.

Mines a little different. You can hear it just cruising around but it's really prevalent when I'm slowing down. I was originally worried that it was my 4:88's rubbing the wrong way. Put 140W in both diffs and it did nothing to the noise one way or the other. Both DS's are balanced and have new u-joints and my front wheel bearings are new also. Kind of narrows it down to my trans case or possibly my rear wheel bearings.

How long is this postponed for?

Never been to Liberty, can I make it with being all stock and no lockers? Haha.

I'm in the middle of purchasing a house right now so it might be September before I go. Have to see what happens.

You might need an assist up the steeper hill climbs. If you still have stock street tires and no lift it might be a bit challenging.

It's not too tight but the off camber rock faces and steep hill climbs would tax your rig.

No biggie. Im kinda busy for the next few weekends. But I finally got some 285's :D

My weekends are disappearing quickly, but I'll keep my eyes on this thread. I wouldn't mind getting out there for an overnighter.

The house we're buying is near Cle Elum so I guarantee that Liberty will be a regular destination for me. As well as the Gallagher Head Lake trails up the Lake Cle Elum valley, and of course Naches- funny rocks is around ten miles as the crow flies from the new place.

I'm giddy...
