Yeah they will end up in the passenger seating area. No way to really notch them so it does not happen. The drawers will do the same in a hard rear ender, no real way to avoid it. I could engineer crumple areas in it but the most I'll get out of that is maybe 2-3" is compression.

I just hope I never get rear ended hard anough to need to worry about it.

I'm sure I'll lose sleep now.......sigh.

Most things that would rear end you would go right under you, lol!

Your cargo management turned out great!

No updates in a while as I have been going full bore trying to get everything done to the truck for my 2week trip to Moab.

I leave Saturday at 5am and hope to get half way through our 2000km drive. Sunday evining we plan to be setting up camp in BLM land around Moab.

This is a dream trip that I have wanted to for 10+ years.

Wish me luck!

Good luck, Moab is a great adventure! Can't wait to hear how great the truck does.

I'm back trip was an outstanding success. Sorry for lack of updates the rush to get ready for the trip total burned me out so since getting back I have been spending all my free time with family.

I have quite a few pictures on Instagram if you want to check them out and follow. #wheelingnoob is my IG page.

That awesome! I will patiently wait until you post photos on here as MUD is the only social media I use. Gave up everything else.

Jealous. Time to to ditch that red fuel can for a yellow or green. :)

That's a funny story actually, I have two CND military scepter fuel cans.....Both leaked the day before I left. This was a $20 last min purchase, ended up not needing it anyways.

Nice, I cannot wait to do my storage, I want to remove my 2nd row seats, and have a complete cabin to myself

How did your swag work? I just bought a single person Kodiak swag but have only set it up in the living room so far.

It was fantastic, quicker to set up than my old ARB RTT and more comfortable. It was much better than I had hoped, really enjoyed it.

Well Photobucket is a bunch of dicks and is holding people like myself and others posting content in forums for ransom. So instead of giving in and paying $300 per year to "allow" 3rd party posting I'm going to let this die.

If there are any pictures of things you would like please copy them now before they are gone. I refuse to go back and redo all of this.

I hope others have been able to learn and some of this thread was useful.

Yes, did learn alot. Thx to you and mry for being so thorough in your pics and writeup. Was fun to watch you guys race to the end Just 2 questions: Are you still happy with it, worth the time you spent on it? And did you stay with the same exhaust setup?

Yes I love it 28k kms on it, one 8k km round trip to Moab and zero issues. Totally worth it in my mind. On our moab trip a gas 80 was along and used 1/3rd more fuel over the entire trip.

Exhaust is untouched. Only change I have made since the first swap was 1/2" fuel feed line.

I would have guessed the gasser 80 would have used more fuel than that, they get like 13mpg do they not?
