soo....
after ignoring all my passengers complaints about my 40 smelling like gas...
("they ALL smell like that!" I thinks to myselfs)
I finally decided to tear the tank out and figure out where the fumes are coming from.
I'm thinking a worn hose or something in that wierd @$$ emissions do-hickey that's behind the passenger seat right???
NOPE!
after lifting the tank I see gas dripping out the side of the tank..... and all my beautiful primer and paint under the tank is bubled up and flaking off!
PO smeared epoxy or something all over this thing and some of it was starting to come off...
anyway, I show up to a radiator shop in Chambersburg this morning and beg him to have it done for me by tomorrow (driving to the beach Sat!!!
)
JUST got it back! he pressurized it to about 8 pounds of air w/ no problems so I'm hoping my issues are taken care of for a while!!!
Not bad for $56!
