hi guys, my 150 series finally arrived, it is a one year old but in fantastic condition.I want to keep this short so I will get to the point:

1. Has this ever happened to anyone, the right a/c temp knob arrived sunked? This should be under warranty? There are no marks on it of any dabage... it is just almost flush to that part of the dash... see photo:

There is a very mild scent of food for dogs or dogs themselves that I smell in the car, probabbly prev owner haweled one or the other... are there any tips or tricks how I can get rid of this?

Thank you all for any help.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

The dash on the Lexus GX460 that we have here in the State is a little different. The climate is controlled thru the screen. No knobs.
I have no idea what options you have where you are but here a detail shop would do a good carpet clean up and 99% of the smell would be gone. You may want to look at the cabin air filter. Sometime can hold enough crap that would smell after a while.

Hi, thank uou for the tips, This is a TEC optioned, meaning everything. :) I googled and looked at diff videos and photos and the knob on the right should be extruded like the one on then left... I guess gotta visit the Toyota peeps soon.

Thank you for the filter idea, will do that today. I was going to do a silica pile in the trunk for a couple weeks... was thinking that might help. Not sure about the detailing peeps in my area, gotta look in to that.

Thank you.

Have you seen other 460's where the knob is not "sunk"?

If you don't have a shop around ,, maybe you can rent a hot steam vacuum ?.
Good luck
I don’t think I can get that around here... it should be under warranty, I will head out ot the nearest Toyota Service in a week or so, I iwll check with them.

@drlnls The 150 series according to the photos online should have both of the knobs extruded. Thank you

Dude, I did what you said about the cabin filter and it helped more than I ever could imagined. Thanks a bunch.

Just wanted to chime in, that knob is held out by four small plastic tabs. Had to fix it myself. Its certainly easy to do, just have some quick fixing superglue ready, pull the panel out, unplug it, unscrew screws, take out knob, glue in place, and reverse the instructions. The one on the driver side has a button function and is held up diffrently, but you can still see the same tabs. Takes15-25 mins depending on glue and guts :)
