The Aussie 2004 car sales figures were released recently. Toyota came close to selling 14,000 LC100s! Toyota also dominated most of the other SUV and passenger car categories. Toyota sold the most number of cars out of any manufacturer in Australia in 2004 (21.1% market share). How well do Toyotas sell in the USA?

Toyota's sell very well in the USA. They account for about 13% of the total market share and continue to grow. Their profits were way up here. We have our own design studios and several models are US only. Toyota sells very well everywhere, as they are the #2 automaker in the world now, behing GM.

They sold about 6-7000 Landcruisers and 8-9000 Lexus 470's last year in the US. Not a very large number compared to 4runners and Sequoias. The Tacoma 4x4 is second to the Jeep wrangler in 4x4 sales, and the number grows evey year.

I'm still looking for Worldwide 100 series sales figures. I have done a lot of searching with no luck.

I appreciate the mods allowing threads to go on that are not quite "Tech" as long as they are 100series focused and labeled right in the title.

someplace I have those, not for 2004 but like 2000 or so.
