My little brother recently got in an accident in his '04 Ford Focus. The car is totaled (he's ok thankfully) but is now looking at Tacomas and needs it sooner rather than later.
We're looking at 3rd gens as well as 4th depending on price, mileage etc. I had a 3rd gen 4Runner so I'm partial to the bulletproof 3.4 but he's not real picky (but would love a manual if possible). The closer to stock the better, but light mods will be considered. Other than that, he's not really set on anything, but I think we can rule out single cabs as he needs as least some space in the back in a pinch.
We're located in the North East but probably willing to travel for the right car. Let me know if you guys have anything or see anything out there!
