Just saw this in my inbox;
This landuse email comes to you from Del Albright regarding Nevada issues.

There will be an informal meeting in Carson City this Wednesday (Feb. 12th) evening (TBA) about landuse, sage grouse, BRC and other Nevada issues, hosted by Don Amador, BRC Western Rep and Sage Grouse Task Force Leader. Time and place to be pinned down tomorrow (Monday), but it will be evening hours in Carson or perhaps Minden (CVI).

Don will be representing BRC at the Sagebrush Ecosystem Council meeting in Carson City on Thursday, Feb. 13th. BRC welcomes your thoughts and input on the Sage Grouse, sage brush issues in general, and landuse topics affecting NV. Don will pass on the highlights of this informal gathering to the Sage Grouse Task Force and BRC staff. BRC appreciates its partnership with NV.

If you'd like to attend and talk landuse, sage grouse, and Nevada issues, please drop Don a note and stay up on the details:
brdon@sharetrails.org

thanks, Del
BRC Director of Operations

Are they worried about sagebrush? The whole state is full of sagebrush.

No... It's re. Sage GROUSE populations. The VERY short story of a VERY COMPLEX issue....
The Feds are considering declaring sage grouse as an endangered species. With this designation come MILLIONS of acres of land closures across Nevada and northern cal.
This is not just wheelers, this affects all recreation and industry in these regions.

I'm not going to be able to make this!!

Mark,

E mail is in the link!!
