I need help finding the right tires to travel mostly highway with the occasional light to medium trail level off-road. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. They need to handle heavy rain, not noisy, smooth ride and not a pain to balance, and I generally drive at 70+mph.

Post some pics of your beautiful sultry build.

Love my general grabber atx , and use case is very similar to yours. @TLC2013 has great experience and recommendations.

Is yours the SL load? How are they on the highway?

So far I am looking at Cooper AT3 xlt, General Grabber A/TX and Toyo Open country lll. and Bridgestone Revo 3

I would recommend the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Quiet and comfy on road, they are fantastic in the rain and have the 3 peak snow rating as well.
They make it in a 285/70R18 C-load but they are 69lbs. Pretty heavy tire and some reviews say after 1500 miles they vibrate over 65mph and tough to stay balanced. But it you’re super happy with them, I’ll definitely give them another look.

Awesome, Back in a 200?

Looks like a great list!

I have a recently acquired 80 Series that has a new set of the Falken’s mentioned, although I prefer the looks of either the BFG’s or the Toyo Trail Grapplers I have on the other 200’s, I am very impressed with the ride and how much quieter they are.

I would strongly consider the Dobinson’s lift, I caught last year’s holiday sale and got them for my Son’s truck, they seem to be 90% as good as the King’s set up I have on the Silver HE!

Where did the White HE end up?

I never ran them in C load, only E. 285/70/17 on a 4Runner followed by 275/70/18 on my previous 200. Not once did I have an issue with vibration or balance but I will concede that they don’t look the best.

Right now I’m running the stock Dunlops and waffling back and forth on tires myself. Kind of want to try something new so will keep an eye on this thread.

Falken also recently released the new AT4W but if weight is of concern they are heavier than the outgoing AT3W.

I sold it to young guy in Alabama. He is using it to travel to Alaska with another Cruiser owner with plans to take it on many overland expeditions

They are no light weight at 69lbs. that is for sure. I am looking hard at the Cooper AT3 XLT 275/70r18.

Good luck with the newest one! White or Black?

I was sad the day it left and felt guilty afterwards. At least she’s back in nature going on some amazing adventures. I have great plans for this new one.

Understand that, I was pleased with the way the build turned out, it was a great looking truck that I had some incredible adventures with out West!

I am sure you improved a few things during your ownership and made certain it continued to visit cool places, confident the next one will be the same.

Looking forward to seeing it around town!

You certainly won’t have trouble spotting it. I am planning some fun road trips with it.

Upgrades coming along nicely 😃

You’re going to love the LRA. Solid move on the rhino lining, I did the same and it goes a long way in hiding the tank.
