trying to resuscitate an old Westweld spot welder. From the 60s. It uses cam connectors for the cables into the front panel. The males are shown below. They are marked CAM LOK DIV, EMPIRE PRODS INC. L-468 M. Interestingly, the male has the notch, not the projection. Not used or seen those until now. No idea if this is an ubiquitous standard in the field or an obsolete type. And a quick Google search did not reveal obvious matches.
I'd like to make a new set of cables while keeping the old ones and I'd rather not replace both sets of connectors with something else if possible at all.
Do you know of any source for those or a modern compatible one if you know? Are they called something else too maybe?
And while we're at it, how do I take those apart? Looks like there may be a pin to drive out? The plastic insulation on the cable is so brittle, every time I look at it, it cracks some more. So will need a gentle touch on this, for a change...
added: did some more searching. And of course since I posted now, I did find something. Looks like some Crouse-Hinds plugs used for lighting and power distribution are quite similar looking. Know about those?
