Hi All i see there is a lot of topic on this one,
but this is my experience i was driving along at 60KPH and Engine cut out out for a split second , then CEL came on, i noticed a loss in power and made it home, then pulled codes 42 and 52
code 42 the VSS i replaced 4000km ago, i then proceeded to check connections to knock sensors. i removed cleaned and reconnected sensor closest to firewall, sensor closet to radiator seemed connection of male connecter in sensor was a lot more flexible but did not come out and i did not disconnect wire, i then chased the harness by hand to see where it went back to fire wall,
restarted Engine and it was running on 5 Cylinders ,, so maybe the harness under the inlet manifold is old and damaged along with 2 knock sensors ?... Thoughts.
