Kimberly kamper suspension lift

I am considering lifting our Kimberly kamper to level it up with the tow vehicle, probably only 2", and will also fold out better on uneven ground.

If someone has done this did you have to extend the strap that stops the coil spring dropping out if over extending?
Are the standard ome shocks long enough to cope?
