Our 9 and 11 year old's are on the second year of racing BMX. I used to love it as a kid, but have just been a mountain biker for tha past 20 or so. Been away a long time. They have a blast and I even raced a few last year, and last night again.
40 year old man-boys should not race BMX without serious reflection on your goals.
It was the ABA Race For Life race yesterday and we as a family raised $1086 for research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Great cause and a lot of fun.
They even had a "mom's" race today. My wife let er' rip. Borrowed shoes, borrowed bike, borrowed helmet, and she made it through in 4th place. Probably created a monster now.
