Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,
The Kaibab National Forest, located in central Arizona, has announced the release of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Williams Ranger District Travel Management Project. The Forest Service (FS) will be accepting comments on the EA during a 30-day comment period.
The FS will also be hosting two public meetings during the comment period to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the project and discuss it with Forest personnel in person. The first meeting will be held at the Williams Ranger Station on Wednesday February 24, 2010, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The second meeting will be held at the Williams Recreation Center, 301 W. Railroad Ave, Williams, AZ, on Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
The EA and other information are available for review at the Williams Ranger Station or on the Kaibab National Forest website at http://fs.usda.gov/goto/kaibab/projects.
Comments concerning this action will be accepted until March 9, 2010.

Oral comments must be provided at the Responsible Official's office during normal business hours via telephone (928) 635-5600 or in person, or at an official agency function (i.e. public meeting) that is designed to elicit public comments. The office business hours for those submitting hand-delivered comments are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Put "Travel Management EA" in the subject line of e-mail comments. Acceptable formats are email message, MS Word (.doc), plain text (.txt), or rich text format (.rtf). Comments should include your name and address.
Please remember that your comments should include your name and address, the title of the project you are commenting on, and finally, specific facts or comments along with the supporting reasons you believe the Responsible Official should consider in reaching a decision.
