This one turned out yummy:

Marinate store bought stew chunks overnite w/Stubs marinade. The next evening, chop up any bob vegie that sounds good and paint with a little stubs marinade mixed with Wishbone Robusto Italian dressing. Skewer, grill, paint again while cooking (cook vegies enough, but still crunchy), and serve with rice.

looks great!

It is great that you grilled the meat separate from the vegetables; most people want to layer them all together. Grilling them on separate skewers allows you to evenly cook everything and you don't end up with under-cooked meat or over-cooked vegetables.

Here is a picture from our last trip:

The only thing wrong with it was not enough beef for leftovers. Thanks...

Fly, cool looking grill, your opinion? Worth the price tag?

You suck, now I'm hungry:crybaby:

I like the idea of grilling the veggies separately except for the onions and/or garlics, they are best cooked next to the meat for flavor. I've also put fruit, such as pineapple chunks next to the meat. Adds some nice flavor.:D

How did I forget the garlic! I had that nagging taste bud telling me something was missing. Your right, smashed cloves between the chunks of beef........Crap, we missed out. Next time....

We do mixed chicken kabobs, I like to blanch the vegetables before we make the kabobs so they are cooked when the meat is done. It takes a couple of times to figure out how long to blanch each vegetable type so they cook the same as the meat. Well worth it in the long run.

RE; garlic cloves, I could see a kabob made entirely if meat with garlic cloves mixed in. I'd stil blanch the cloves so they would get nice and soft and caramelized on the out side before the meat got over cooked.

I picked mine up used several years ago for a song. It has been a great little grill for camping and works well for dutch ovens, but I am not sure I would pay the $110 for a new one, from Volcanogrills.com, but then I am cheap.
