Hi All, I am trying to see if a K5 blazer would be a good fit for me. I want a truck I can sleep in the back of. I'm 6'1" and like to stretch out. Will a K5 be long enough for me? If not, I may go for a Suburban but they're a bit long for what I want to do.

Thanks for the help!

What year Blazer are you looking at? Are you planning to remove the back seat? Sleep with the gate open?

I'll measure mine tonight (I've got a 72 Jimmy with no backseat), but I think it'd be too short for you to sleep in with the gate closed.

Note: The G1 K5s (69-72) have backseats that don't fold down. Not quite sure on the 73-79 Blazers. I know from 80-on they folded.

If you're interested, in 77 there were some Blazer Campers made that you can find for about 7k. I've seen them on Ebay a few times. They look kinda cool. You can get away with 32s with no lift/rub on stock suspension. Anything bigger you'll need a lift.
