K-Trail Trip

I want to go for a day and night to do the K-Trail in Oklahoma and was wondering if any of y'all would like to make a short trip of it. I figure leave 1 morning, do the trail till dark, camp, then head back to D/FW the following morning. Does this sound interesting to any of y'all?

You can drive K trail from Clayton until it dead ends on pavement in 4 hrs or so.......would not camp on there, DEA agents warned us once that there are lots of meth labs off the road and for us not to do any exploring or stopping to chat with folks

Thinking this summer. 4 hours? My understanding us you start in Clayton and can take it all the way thru Arkansas! I believe the whole trail is 270 miles. Small part I'm talking about doing is about 70 miles. Taking it leisurely, doubt we could do it in 4hrs. The part your talking about is only a small chunk of it. I'm aware of the methheads, that's why I'd prefer others to go. They'll only mess with you if it's a 1-3 vehicle caravan. If there's quite a few more then they hide like the cockroaches they are. I plan to have firepower regardless. Please correct me if I'm wrong in any aspect of this. Thanks!
