This is a follow up post to my legal notice about the logo. Attached is a very rough sketch of an idea for the logo. The thought is simple. I took the crossed bifs from the original logo and worked them into an icon similiar to the Jolly Roger. The state of Ohio is discreetly placed in the background and forms the tatered flag. This give us a unique and ownable look with no legal ramification. Most of you guys fancy yourselves as hardcore crawler guys right. Well except for Karl:) I think this look could embody the club and its mission-wheelin and wrenchin fun. The logo would be render in a very flat and graphic style that would make it easy to silk screen and embrodier on shirts and hats. Let me know if you guys are interested in me arting it up.

I like it... One of the elements I was after was the crossed birfs like the jolly roger swords.

It's a total departure from the normal TLCA club logos. If you want to finish it out, I could use the help honestly. Can continue on the web site, get it finished and if you could finish the logo we'll be that much further down the road.

I am not afraid of no stinkin pirates. But I did get my butt kicked in the 3rd grade by Billy Beaver and he had an eye patch. Does that count?

I will wait to hear what the other club members have to say. The weekend is here and people usually check the board then.

I know in the big scheme of things the Jolly Roger is not that unique but like you said it is totally different from all the other club logos. Not to mention it gets us away from an image of a 40 which would leave all the other vehicles out.
