I am mounting the solenoid box of my warn m8000 inside the engine bay and wanted to make sure i won't have any wiring/amperage drop problems. The solenoid box will be no more than 2 feet(in wire) from the battery but the winch to solenoid box wires will be ~6ft.
Since it came with two 64" 2gauge wires for the power and ground, Ive decided to use these plus one more purchased from the local welding supply(1ga 76") for the winch wires. Do any of the winch posts pull more amperage that i should hook the 1ga up to that one?
For the soleniods power to battery wire the electrical supply gave me a nice piece of 4ga scrap. Will this be enough to run a short distance, 2ft TOPS?
Will also use for winch ground to batt neg, distance 4ft..ok?
Lol that gave me a headache just to explain so if you need clarification i understand
