Hello everyone. I just joined TLCA and bought a 2001 Lexus LX470 a couple days ago. It has 119K and no signs or records of the 90k service so I have that scheduled at Dajda's Auto Care. I would like to tackle the diff fluids, transfer case, and possibly the DIY transmission fluid change. Is there anyone that can give me a hand please? I have a nice size shop that we can work on it.

How soon are you wanting to do it?

I live close to you, but I'm out of the country for a while.

Diffs and transfer case fluids are dead easy, a cave man could do it. Just draining the auto trans pan and changing the filter is straight forward too, but if it was mine, I would flush the whole system including the torque converter. Not rocket science to flush it, but it's expensive because it takes a lot more ATF (and I like to use synthetic). It is easier with two people for sure.

I can wait for a while, we don't plan on driving much with it. I found a DIY way of flushing the transmission; pretty similar for my FJC from what I read. Of course some of the items are easy but always seems to go more smooth having someone help.
