FYI, the June meeting is tomorrow night at 7:00. 27 1/4 road. Mile 3.

No cruisin coffee this month. Unless someone wants to take it on.

As I said at the meeting I'd be willing to lead a trip up on Grand Mesa, specifically Grandby Lakes on Sunday June 10. Let's meet at the Grand Mesa Visitors Center at 11:00. Trail head is 10 minutes away. This trail is moderately rocky but nothing serious, well except for the Mosquitos which are not too bad yet. I know this may not fit the cruising coffee format but wheeling is wheeling, right? If your into fishing you might want to grab a pole.

I must know if there will be folks coming so I don't go to the meeting spot and find no one there as happened twice before. Prefer email at acebrown at VCI dot net.

Good show, now anyone else going to be there? I did not get my fishing license so i won't be doing that. Bring a lunch and maybe we can find a high breezy place with fewer mosquitos.

See you at the visitors center at 11:00.

Hi! David & Celia are in Clifton heading your wa Mesa Lakes). We'll hurry to meet you. Sorry for the delay. ETA 11:30. See ya soon! C

Did not see your message until nearly 9:00. Very little cell service on the Mesa.

Well Dave and Celia joined me and we headed up the the Granby Lakes TH, aired down and hit this rocky trail. As said before it is not a hard trail but it is just rocky enough that you need to watch your line to avoid those bangs when a diff or skid plate makes contact. Usually there is enough mud to add some challenge and slip-sliding around, but this run was nearly bone dry except for one small mud hole. Of course that meant lots of dust. We ran back to Grandby #7, had lunch there, returned on an alternate trail (part way), then back to pavement where we did some scenic touring. It was a fun trip and wish more could have joined us.

I forgot to mention that the Mosquitos were very few which was quite a surprise as last year they would have carried you away. Maybe the xtra dry spring conditions.
