John Deere vs Kubota

I think yanmar made the engines up to a few years ago and JD started making them. Or so I was told, maybe someone here knows the details.

My 26.5 hp JD2520 (2010 MY) is a Yanmar direct injection and has a few nice features like an air preheater (apparently) and an auto bleed fuel system if you allow it to run dry. Most of the Kubota's I looked at are indirect injection. Direct injection is supposed to start faster and be a little more efficient and have some other esoteric advantages to a diesel purist... having said that my 35hp Kioti is indirect injection and starts in less than a turn when the glow plug light comes off....FACT is a new or new to you used tractor is better than getting your first American Flyer electric train set at Christmas! No matter what name is on it...

One small wrinkle is that some insurance may want separate coverage or a specified rider on your insurance if a machine exceeds 25hp ... if not over 25hp -- the normal household and effects insurance may be satisfactory .... this obviously may differ around the regions etc and may be a trivial issue

Buy a compact tractor- I have a 20hp Kubota TLB. I bought it used and it came set up with a backhoe. I purchased 3-point accessories - brush hog- gannon-post hole digger.
Not sure how many hours are on it- but it runs like a champ and is a lot of fun to operate. Really like the wide tires on the back

Hands down the Best toy I ever bought:D

Hmm - the John Deere site just now started promoting a new "1 Series" sub compact tractor - no pictures yet. But, I bet it's out there to compete with the Kubotoa BX series. Have to wait and see. Release in February per the web site.

One of the things I really like about the 2000 series JD is the drive on mid deck mower option.

Man, been looking bigtime for a nice BX Kubota on craigslist these days.
Talk about fxxxing scammers. Why is it everytime i want something there are a s***load of scam artists "selling" it.
Two different ads in my area for minty used BX23 tractors. Loader , backhoe, and mower decks...One for $4600, one for $5400.
One guy replies with he'll deliver it for $4600...I answer back i want to see it in person first....the listing is immediately deleated....fxxxers.
