JIS Tool Kits

Hello everyone,

I've been working on putting together a tool kit that contains most of the tools you'd need to service your Toyota truck away from your home garage. I wanted good reliable tools that I felt were several steps up from Harbor Freight and yet way less than the tool truck tools. I settled on GearWrench since they had almost all the tools I was looking for and I could get just the tools I wanted and nothing more. The only items GearWrench doesn't have and which are not in the kit is a set of JIS cross-head and flat head screwdrivers (I personally like Vessel Tools) and a 54mm hub socket. Here's the list of tools that is included in the kit.

As it's listed above the tool kit cost is $495 plus shipping.

I made this kit because I wanted something that could live permanently in my 80. I looked all over and couldn't find anyone selling a JIS-based set of tools like this. Once I put together the list and bought my set I figured I'd see if anyone else would be interested in a comprehensive tool kit for their Toyota.

I'd also be interested in feedback if you guys think I'm missing a tool that absolutely must be in a kit like this. I'm also considering smaller kits with just the ratchets and sockets and maybe just the wrenches. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks! The ShopRoll was born out of carrying the trail tools for our Toyota FJ60, so that's why it works so well for carrying a limited amount of tools into the back county. Cheers! Be safe!
