I guess it would be way too much to ask if anyone has or has seen a translation of the Prado owners manual or maintenance manual.
My sister suggested using Google translate and just take pictures of the pages in the manual(s).
Unfortunately, the Japanese language doesn't have easily to decipher words like 'mucho' or 'nada'.
I get a headache every time I try to look thru the books. Even the diagrams don't seem to help that much.

(On a side note, on my way to pick up my Prado, I met a guy at a gas station who just happened to mention his wife was Japanese. I hadn't even mentioned anything about heading to pick up a JDM vehicle. Wish I would have had the forethought to get his name and phone number - I would have paid for some translation service).

Then you can get a subscription to Toyota Tech Info Europe and see what they have available for you in English.

Thanks for the document and info. Much more understandable and I'm sure it will come in handy.
I actually have avoided pressing some of the buttons because I didn't know what they might do.

There are translated versions of the owner's manual available online, the guy from whom I bought my Prado had one. Translation isn't 100% perfect, but it's a big help for the basics.

Thanks a million times for this information. Looks like I'll have several nights of reading to do.
Will probably even take the files to local Office Max to see if they'll print them out for me.
(not sure about any copyright infringement and such).
Thanks again to you and all who provided me info on this.
