OK got the work I will be off the entire week of the 1st of January. So the Hammon is on, I'll have the garage heated and I hope somewhat more organised than last time. Both Bays should be available. The lift and air compressor are working and the welders are available. I am going to try to score some 3/8 plate steel early in the week and we may do some fab and welding of brackets for the sliders. I plan of working on BT off and on all week and Friday and Saturday. I will have something good to eat fixed for anybody who dares to travel north from charleston to the cold reaches of Sumter(yeah right what 3 degrees colder) any way hope all can come: and if nothing else just hang and tell lies about how wonderful their turcks run, crawl, shine whatever. So come on up Friday and camp or claim the couch, eat and stay for the main event Saturday. Hope everyone has a great christmas and a safe new year. Doc

P. S. anyone with a specific beverage request better tell me early as I dont drink soft drinks and tend to forget about them. :)

I'll be there! I can't wait! I should have my knuckle rebuilt kit by then so we can work on it. We should do Benke's before mine though!;) I don't know if I'll go up fri. afternoon or just show up Sat. morning... I have to talk to the pregnant wife:)!

I plan on being there Friday...We have alot to do, as I was going to bring my springs, also. We can go ahead and do your knuckes first. I havent gotten any parts yet.

no parts yet! I'll try to be there fri afternoon then!

We can put one on the lift and do the other side by side on jack stands if you two are going to fight about it. LOL:) Will be good to see you both and work on all the trucks again.

If anyone from upstate is lurking around on this thread you are invited to come on down too. We are 'after all' just one big club, and Sumter is not that far from Columbia even the upstate crew can find Columbia. At least I think they can: it may be however that when they get far from the blessed hills they get nervious in the flat land. I know I did when I left the hills of Tennessee All those years ago. So if your not tied up and too full of new years cheer and want to work on and or talk cruiser come on down to the swamp. Doc

Can't wait to meet you too! I just got my Christmas presents in the mail! I got my Knuckle rebuild kit from cruiser outfitters and my Longfield Lifetime wiper seals. Now I just have to get the grease, fluids and other stuff for the rebuild and I'll be all set!

I need to fix my t-case. It wont completely engage 4wd.

Whoa!!! hopefully it is just a linkage problem in the shift engagement, otherwise that could be a big job indeed. :wrench::wrench::wrench:BFW

Which day is this- the 31st or 7th?

The Hammon is on the 6th, 7th, and possibly the 8th how's the oil burner doing? Love that troopy!!!:)

Glad you posted this, made me think and I had to get on the phone to order a battery tender for the winch install. Promised on the 5th so should be good to go!

OK. I am in Atlanta that weekend. Too bad. Haven't been around much lately!

Troopie is running great! It is for sale on Craigslist right now. I hate to sell, but I am traveling a lot more now and need something that will go interstate speeds.

Yeah I understand that is an awesome rig but not right for the interstate, not good for you or it to run at those speeds. I will miss seeing it every once in a while. Also sorry that you can't come by you know you are always welcome here. Doc:beer:

Sorry to see the Troopy go, Greg.
It's a shame you can't come by this weekend, the weather should be nice, and lots of work to do.
Looking forward to a great time!!

Got some fluids

I got my gear oil and grease. I got the Moly grease in the tube for the knuckles and birfields. Is this the right stuff? do you think I'll need more? The guy at advance didn't seem to know much about it...I'm gonna get some brake parts cleaner and a lot of paper towels. I'm gonna try to borrow my brother's seal puller. Maybe it will help make the seal removal a little easier. I also got some snap ring pliers. I hope they're the right ones. Am I forgetting anything? Can't wait to see y'all!

That should take care of it.

buy one of those hand kerosene pump and you can pump the oil into the diff. The electric ones will not do it but the old fashion hand pump will.

I have one...I use it more often on trans/transfer case than axles, but I'll bring it.
