Hi, I've been told to introduce myself....!

Hi all on the ih8mud.com site
Don't know whether this email will get to you, but I'll give it a go.
I've had my cruiser (80 series 1991, desert mods) since 2000.
I'm based in the UK, I travel in North Africa as my research is based there.
l'Beast is white, has a snorkel (it works in sand storms too...), serious bull bar (non-cosmetic - has saved the cruisers skin on at least two occasions - didn't fancy a crumpled front.), LRFT fitted, bash plate, desert night driving lights, TJM spare wheel carrier, crap roofrack (will be replaced soon!), 2.5 " lift, and heavy duty shocks and coils, still in the process of getting mods for it, and other things. Next new things will be new wheels (steel) and tyres.
Will say that I've had problems with the front axle, no other serious problems apart from a near-death experience in Nov 2003 when I had a potential engine fire on my hands - start motor and solenoid went AWOL at the same time, all electrics failed - fatal damage avoided to life and limb but dead in the water as it were. Also had to have new front calipers replaced, they'd seized back in summer 2004 - l'beast is extremely costly at the moment.
