Heated grips? (check'em out. Handlebar mount, 4 position switch :grinpimp:)

Or heated gloves?

My torso is fine, it's just my fingers and toes that freeze. I had the coldest toes I ever had the other night. I went to see a Cruiser and left it, about 30min before sundown. 45 to get home. I passed a Trooper on River Road at about 65...Donno, my damn speedo broke the morning before

I never WANTED a speeding ticket so bad in my life....I bet he had his heater on!

Anywho, took me a good 30mins, toes in the tub, for I could regain feeling.

How do you keep your feet warm? Would rain boots help?

Once again, I wear good clothing so my head, neck, torso, arms, thighs and legs are fine.

Heated grips, I believe would work out the best, but I don't know for sure though. I feel their output is higher, and if my hands get too cold, I can just stop, dis-glove and warm them. All the reviews for cheap battery powered gloves AND SOCKS are unanimous on their suckage, so that's out.

The gloves I have right now, I like. They're just cheapo ski gloves at Wally world. Nice, cheap, lightweight, and I've sprayed Camp Dry on them and (believe) it works to keep some more wind out.

On the feet, in case some don't know. If you cram your foot into your boot with as much wool socks as will fit, it actually makes things worse. It constricts the poor blood flow you normally get to your foot, even more. I bear it, but wear one pair of wool socks/ uninsulated boot :frown: . Anyone know about the Hot Soles at walmart?

Head wear: I got this thing (someone please upload a better pic) from a vendor on Ebay. I paid @ $6.00 + shipping, which the vendor will give you a break, if you buy more. It's Nomex  4 position , and has a layer for wind proofing  I love it.

Pants: So far, uninsulated, lightweight Cordura that I found at the thrift store. I plan to spray them with Camp Dry and fleece longjhons fit under them nicly :D

I gotta run...to Pulaski. (1:20 ride, $3.20 in fuel))

I'd love to hear more on this subject.

lol. About the time I get my winter gear issues squared away, it'll be springtime.

Heated grips only heat the inside of your hand, obviously. Hippo hands are what you want. covers the entire bar end. Those, and heated grips would work well together. There's a similar thing available for ATV's at cheaper prices.

I had a set of heated grips on a KTM I rode last season, never took it on a cold ride though so I did not get to test them out. I hear just having heated grips make a BIG difference on over-all core temp.
