I just purchased a 1999 Land Cruiser and I bought an Ultra-gauge for it. I was wondering if anyone has had to use the Isolation cable for the ISO-9141 or is it unnecessary. I know I had to use it on my Tacoma because of an ABS issue but I wasn't sure if it was the same for the Hundy. I went ahead and purchased it just in case. Thanks in advance!

I didn't and it works fine, including transmission temp.

Did you get the MX or the EM? The MX should read trans temp.

J

The EM because it came used from a buddy. I don't really need the trans temp since I never tow and drive flat ground most of the time, but it would be nice to have.

I'm watching this thread, I've been using a ultra gauge for the last 10? years and I love it, but the display is starting to "bleed" once it gets hot from sitting in the hot truck all day.

Wait wait wait @greenseaman...are you talking about the ULTRA-gauge or the SCAN-gauge?

The links they provide are for the scan-gauge not the ultra-gauge.

I'm getting te Ultra-gauge. That's why I couldn't find anything when I searched. I assume they are the same for the Ultra-gauge??? Now I've got to figure figure out which pre-programmed vehicle to pick. On the Ultra-gauge website all the ones listed are CAN except maybe the GM one. I'm guessing the 2nd gen Prius will be the closest but it still uses the CAN protocol. I have a tech request in to Ultra-gauge support so maybe they can tell me which one to pick... Thanks for all the replies, guys!
