Is the extra power in the 06+ Hundy noticeable?

If you have made the jump from 05 and older cruiser into an 06+ with the extra HP, is it a big difference? I've not found any local ones to test out, but i'm on the fence about keeping my 01 and decking it out, or get a newer one with more power and start on that.

I have both an 03 LX with 118k and and my son has an 06 LC with 185k - the VVTI engine in the 06 is more peppy and merges into interstate traffic with ease where I have to push the 03 to get the same performance. There is definitely a noticeable difference driving them back to back. I don't tow with either so unable to comment on towing performance.

If I was looking for another one I wouldn't limit my search to the 06-07 model just based on performance as I find both to be adequate for trails / daily driving. The VVTI engine would be 4th on my list after rust, maintenance history, and mileage.

Definitely look for 03 and up with the 5 speed tranny however.
