Hey. So I came across this "Expedition Trailer" yesterday and Im going to take a look at it today. The owner said is has a steel frame with aluminium and fibre glass body. 33" BFG tires with 70% tread.
What do you think?
If that utility bed is the quality I've seen similar in the US, sounds like a good deal. Those are pretty well-gasketed, nice doors that seal well. That's what you want when you're gonna trail it behind in the dust all day and then open it up to relax, instead of clean.
Looks like the axle, etc are definitely set-up for off-road use and maximum clearance. I can see that, but being a few inches lower might be a nice option, too, but maybe it's just how the air system was set?
Not sure about surge brakes, but if they're good, why not? An air bag suspension could have issues, but shouldn't be too hard to mend. That folding tent platform looks like it could cost a bunch itself -- guess that's what it is. And that's no expedition coupler, but easy enough to remedy. Good luck and let us know what you find out. Looks one-off, but maybe not?
So I went and looked at this "Expedition Trailer" the other day. and it was a waist of my time. A corner on the tent cover was ripped and the zipper for the cover was never zipped up. so the tent was all wet. it just looked like it wasnt taken care off.
the trailer wasnt really the best design. it was not water prof.
It just wasnt really worth it for me.

I think if you could get it for under 2k it would be worth investing in. All the built and ready to go expi trailers I've seen run many thousands more.
If that was in my neck of the woods I'd be seriously considering it.
